Roof Repairs
Not every roof in Boston needs replacing. Whether it's a slipped tile on a terraced house near the centre or a felt repair on a light industrial unit near the docks, C R Smith & Son tracks down the actual cause of the problem and puts it right, rather than patching the nearest visible spot. Every repair starts with a free, no-obligation written quote, so you know exactly what's wrong and what it'll take to fix before we start any work.
C R Smith & Son covers Boston (PE21) and the surrounding villages, including Skirbeck, Langrick, Swineshead Bridge, Wyberton and Frithville.
Cost
There's no single price for a roof repair in Boston, since every job is different. What we can promise is a free, no-obligation written quote with a full breakdown before any work starts. The main things that affect cost are:

Systems we fit
A closer look at how we put each of these problems right in Boston:
Boston's mix of Victorian terraces and newer estates means we repair everything from clay tiles to concrete interlocking tiles and natural slate. We match the replacement as closely as we can to what's already on the roof, so a repair doesn't stand out.
A leak often shows up on the ceiling well away from where the water actually gets in, so we trace it back to source rather than just patching the nearest spot. On Boston's older terraces, that's often failed flashing or cracked pointing rather than the tiles themselves.
Worn or poorly fitted lead flashing around chimneys, valleys and abutments is one of the most common causes of leaks we find in Boston. We renew flashings and soakers so water is properly directed away rather than finding a way underneath.
Ridge and hip tiles bedded in cracked or crumbling mortar let water in at the highest, most exposed point of the roof. We re-bed and re-point them properly, which matters on the older housing stock common around Boston.
Moss and debris build-up traps moisture against the roof covering and can lift tiles over time. We clear it as part of a repair visit so it isn't left to cause problems again.
