uPVC Fascias
Old timber fascias on Bourne properties rot quietly behind the guttering, often for years before it becomes obvious. We replace them with new uPVC fascia boards that won't rot, warp or need repainting.

Expert Fascias, Gutters & Soffits in Bourne
The fascias, soffits and guttering along the edge of a Bourne roof carry rainwater away and keep the roof timbers dry. When they rot, sag or leak, water runs down the walls instead of into the drain. C R Smith & Son replaces old timber and failing plastic with new low-maintenance uPVC, and fits new guttering and downpipes that do their job properly, with a free, no-obligation written quote before any work starts.
C R Smith & Son covers Bourne (PE10) and nearby villages including Cawthorpe, Hanthorpe, Hacconby, Twenty, Kirkby Underwood and Pickworth.

What We Install in Bourne
A closer look at each part of the roofline we replace in Bourne:
uPVC Soffits
Soffits under the eaves keep the roof space ventilated as well as weatherproof. Where a Bourne roof needs better airflow, we fit vented uPVC soffits to help keep the loft dry and reduce the risk of condensation.
Guttering and Downpipes
Sagging or leaking guttering is a common problem on Bourne's older housing stock. We fit new uPVC guttering and downpipes set to the correct fall, so water reaches the drain instead of running down the wall.

FAQs about Fascias, Gutters & Soffits in Bourne
Do I need to replace the boards, or just the guttering?
It depends what's actually failed. If the timber behind the gutter is rotten, replacing just the gutter is a short-term fix. We'll tell you what your roofline actually needs.
Will new uPVC need painting?
No. uPVC fascias and soffits are low-maintenance and only need an occasional wipe down, which is why most people in Bourne move away from timber.
What colours can I have?
uPVC comes in a range of colours and woodgrain finishes, from classic white to black, grey and oak. We'll match the look to your property.
Do you fit soffit vents?
Yes. Where a roof needs better airflow we fit vented soffits or add ventilation, which helps keep the loft dry and reduces the risk of condensation and rot.
Can you do it without scaffolding?
On lower roofs we can often work safely from ladders or a tower. On higher or harder-to-reach rooflines we use the right access equipment, which we include in the quote.
Is the quote free?
Yes. We measure up the roofline and give you a free written quote for the boards and guttering you need, with no obligation.
