Cost
There's no single price for flat roofing in Grantham, since every roof is different. What we can promise is a free, no-obligation written quote with a full breakdown before any work starts. The main things that affect cost are:
What's included
Grantham's flat roofs range from small porch and garage coverings to larger outbuilding roofs, so getting the deck and falls right matters as much as the covering itself.
Systems we fit
Not every flat roof in Grantham needs the same covering. The right system depends on the building, the budget and how the roof will be used, so here's how the three systems we fit compare.
Felt is still a common, budget-friendly choice on smaller roofs like porches and garden stores, where a straightforward covering does the job without a large outlay. It's quick to fit and easy to repair, though it has the shortest lifespan of the three systems we offer.
For extensions and outbuildings that need to shrug off standing water for years without fuss, EPDM rubber is usually our first recommendation. It comes as a single seamless sheet, so there are far fewer joints to fail than with felt.
GRP fibreglass gives a hard, walkable finish, which suits flat roofs that double as access routes or sit above storage areas. It's more expensive to fit than felt but forms a genuinely seamless, glass-like surface once cured.

How it works
Most flat roofs we replace in Grantham sit over a kitchen, bathroom or garage, so here's how we put a new one on without fuss:
Survey and quote
We walk the roof, check the deck for soft spots and look at how it meets the house wall, then quote with the system and any board replacement written in.
Strip and repair the deck
The old covering comes off, and rotten or delaminated boards are replaced so the new system has a sound, dry base.
Lay the new system
EPDM rubber, GRP fibreglass or a modern felt system is laid with the right fall and taken up the abutting wall under a new flashing.
Finish and clear
Trims, outlets and edges are finished, we check water runs away to the gutter, and all the waste is taken away.
