Flat Roofing
Woodhall Spa's pine woodland setting and period properties often have flat-roofed extensions that need careful attention alongside the main building. C R Smith & Son fits felt, EPDM rubber and GRP fibreglass systems across Woodhall Spa, and every quote is free and written, with a full breakdown before you commit to anything.

Cost
There's no single price for flat roofing in Woodhall Spa, since every roof is different. What we can promise is a free, no-obligation written quote with a full breakdown before any work starts. The main things that affect cost are:
What's included
Woodhall Spa's flat roofs range from small porch and garage coverings to larger outbuilding roofs, so getting the deck and falls right matters as much as the covering itself.
Systems we fit
Not every flat roof in Woodhall Spa needs the same covering. The right system depends on the building, the budget and how the roof will be used, so here's how the three systems we fit compare.
Felt is still a common, budget-friendly choice on smaller roofs like porches and garden stores, where a straightforward covering does the job without a large outlay. It's quick to fit and easy to repair, though it has the shortest lifespan of the three systems we offer.
For extensions and outbuildings that need to shrug off standing water for years without fuss, EPDM rubber is usually our first recommendation. It comes as a single seamless sheet, so there are far fewer joints to fail than with felt.
GRP fibreglass gives a hard, walkable finish, which suits flat roofs that double as access routes or sit above storage areas. It's more expensive to fit than felt but forms a genuinely seamless, glass-like surface once cured.

How it works
Under the trees in Woodhall Spa, a flat roof has to shed needles and leaves as well as rain, so here's how we lay a new one:
Survey and quote
We check the deck, the falls and the outlets, look at how much debris the trees drop on the roof, and give you a written quote.
Strip and prepare
The old covering comes off, any rotten boards are replaced and the fall is improved so water and debris don't sit.
Lay and detail
EPDM rubber, GRP or felt is laid, with trims and flashings chosen to look right against the main house.
Clear and check
We clear outlets and gutters of needles and leaves, check that water runs off freely, and leave the site tidy.
