Roof Repairs
Not every roof in Wyberton needs replacing. Exposed fenland wind puts extra strain on tiles and flashing, so a slipped tile or failed flashing is a common repair here. C R Smith & Son tracks down the actual cause of the problem and puts it right, with every repair starting from a free, no-obligation written quote.
C R Smith & Son covers Wyberton (PE21) and the surrounding villages, including Frampton, Kirton, Fishtoft, Frithville and Wigtoft.
Cost
There's no single price for a roof repair in Wyberton, since every job is different. What we can promise is a free, no-obligation written quote with a full breakdown before any work starts. The main things that affect cost are:

Systems we fit
A closer look at how we put each of these problems right in Wyberton:
Most of Wyberton's newer homes have concrete interlocking tiles, with some clay pantiles and slate on the older houses in the village. We replace cracked or slipped tiles with a matching profile and colour so the repair blends in.
On estate homes, leaks often start at a valley, around a soil vent pipe or where an extension roof meets the house. We trace the water to where it actually gets in rather than replacing tiles at random.
Lean-to extensions, porches and conservatories all meet the house wall with a flashing, and those joins are a frequent source of leaks in Wyberton. We renew the lead and point it back into the brickwork.
Wind coming in off The Wash across the flat land south of Boston works at ridge mortar until the tiles rock loose. We re-bed and re-point them, or fit a dry ridge system that needs less upkeep.
Garden trees and north-facing slopes gather moss that holds water and lifts tiles at the edges. We clear it, along with debris in the valleys and gutters, during the repair visit.

How it works
Many Wyberton repairs turn out to be at a join, a valley or an extension rather than the tiles themselves, so here's how we work:
Inspect
We look at the area you've noticed and at the joins with extensions, porches and chimneys nearby, where leaks often begin.
Quote
We explain the cause in plain terms and give you a written quote, with no obligation to book.
Repair
We replace or refix tiles with a matching profile and renew any failed flashing or mortar along the way.
Check
We check the repair keeps the water out, clear the gutter below, and leave your drive and garden tidy.
